Brad Soileau

     My music career started at an early age. I began my love for music playing the clarinet in the 6th grade. Throughout my school years I learned to play a few instruments such as the tuba and sousaphone. These experiences earned me a scholarship and a place in the McNeese State University marching band. In college I had many opportunities to further my musical education. During this time I bought my first guitar and amp, which emptied my savings account. This left me with no choice but to learn to play While in college a friend and I decided to form a band, which led to the Bayou Katz.
     I am now privileged to be the music teacher at Oakdale Elementary School. I am thankful to be able to do what I love everyday. Not many people can say that they love their job and what they do, but I can. Music has enriched my life with good friends and a wonderful career
